This Afghani dessert is simply delicious! Think silky vanilla fudge with crunchy walnuts and pistachios. We snagged this wonderfully simple recipe from Afghan Food Kitchen on YouTube.
Using a pan over medium heat, pour in the whipping cream.
Stir in sugar and mix until well dissolved. Continue stirring until is simmers.
Add cardamom and continue stirring.
Add in dried milk. Stir until mixture thickens and becomes sticky. Remove from heat and continue stirring.
Add walnuts and pistachio, saving a little of each for topping the sheer pira.
Once evenly combined, pour mixture into pan lined with wax paper. We used a spare foil pie pan that worked perfectly.
Press the remaining walnuts and pistachios on top and allow to set for 2 hours before slicing.
Slice the sheer pira like fudge and serve. Store in an airtight container, and it will last for several days.
